NEW STUDENT SCHEDULING

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SCHEDULING A LESSON!

We require ALL NEW CLIENTS to schedule an “Assessment Lesson” when scheduling a lesson for the first time.

The reason for this is two-fold:

In order to know where to place you in Group lessons, we must know what your capabilities are. We determine this via your first lesson, called an “Assessment Lesson”, which is used to assess what you know and where you belong in our program. Even if you have ridden previously, this first lesson helps us learn more about you and where you’re at in your riding journey.

For those entirely new to riding, your initial lessons take more time than someone who is experienced and can tack up and groom their own horse. Knowing whether or not you’ll need this extra time is important for us so that we know how to schedule you.

We are extremely busy and Private lesson time slots are almost entirely full, with a running wait list, while Group lesson slots are also limited! We want to avoid having new students sign up for a Private or Group lesson for their first visit to the farm when we may not have available the amount of time required for a new rider’s first lesson. If a new student schedules a regular Private or Group lesson but then needs assistance learning to tack up, groom, etc., this runs well over the time normally allotted to each lesson.

This is why we must know in advance what level of rider you are and what type of horsemanship experience you have, if any, so that we can block off the time needed for your lesson. Ensuring all new students are assessed at their very first lesson avoids any scheduling issues and enables us to give each student the appropriate, focused attention they deserve.

We do NOT offer refunds for lessons. If you schedule a lesson and do not show, you will be charged for that lesson. If a lesson is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances, it will be rescheduled. More details concerning our lesson and financial policies can be found here.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT 1

I understand and acknowledge that, if I am a new student and have never ridden at White Winds Farm Equestrian Center before, I MUST schedule an "Assessment Lesson" for my first lesson.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT 2

I understand and acknowledge that I must fill out the New Student forms linked on this page and bring them with me to my first lesson.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT 3

I understand and acknowledge that I must use a credit or debit card to sign up for and schedule my first lesson, but I will NOT be charged until I have arrived at White Winds Farm Equestrian Center for that lesson.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT 4

I understand and acknowledge that White Winds Farm Equestrian Center does NOT offer refunds for no-show or other lesson cancellations. If I schedule a lesson and then do not show, I will be charged for the lesson. If weather or other circumstances force cancellation of a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled for another time.
